COMIC BOOK DIGEST RETURNS – FOR ONLY 25 CENTS!

Coming this January, Alias Comics returns with the all-new and improved COMIC BOOK DIGEST (CBD) in comic shops everywhere with full-color previews of upcoming Alias releases – from LULLABY to TWIN BLADES, and everything in between – for only 25 cents each month!

Originally a black and white preview book spotlighting various independent Comic book company projects, the all-new, 32-page monthly CBD will feature at least two comic book previews in each issue, with each preview being a whopping 11-pages or more of full-color art.

"The most notable thing about the new CBD," said Mike S. Miller, Alias Executive Director, "is that we're starting with a BANG! The most valuable tool a comic book can have toward garnering new readers is exposure. We're sending out 50 thousand copies of the January issue of the CBD to retailers through Diamond Comics, who is encouraging us in our effort. As time goes on, and we get more sponsors on board, our goal is to reach a 200 thousand circulation within the Direct Market alone! With that kind of exposure, the titles we preview are more likely to receive the notice they deserve!"

And Alias has already seen it work! The new CBD is modeled heavily after the success of Alias Comics’ TWO BITS, a black and white preview book Alias published through Image comics a year ago this month. TWO BITS previewed LULLABY: WISDOM SEEKER and THE IMAGINARIES, and as a result of these previews, THE IMAGINARIES became one of Alias' best selling titles to date, as did LULLABY – having sold out of its well over-stocked Diamond inventory within two-days of release, while its second and third issues both were sold out before they ever hit shelves!

"We look forward to the CBD having the same impact on sales on the new ongoing Lullaby series and Twin Blades, and all subsequent CBD Previews, as we did with TWO BITS: increasing sales by increasing customer awareness of these books,” added Miller.

Alias Comics Communications Coordinator, Ryan Scott Ottney, will handle CBD ad sales and marketing, offering ad rates at a fraction of what you might pay for other nationally circulated industry magazines. Already Alias has lined up sponsors such as Mycomicshop.com – the official online shopping resource of Alias Comics – by offering a large national circulation at a fraction of the cost of other publications.
